Expanded Academic ASAP
Databases and Electronic Resources: General
Multi-disciplinary index to scholarly academic and general interest periodicals. Includes some full text sources.

JSTOR
Databases and Electronic Resources: General
A full-text archive of over 700 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, including Latin American studies (16+ titles), economics, ecology, political science, history, literature, and other subjects. It covers all issues published, except for the last 2 to 5 years.

RILM Abstracts of Music Literature
Abstracts of scholarly writings on music as well as music-related disciplines in over 140 languages dating from 1967 through the present.

Music Index
Citations for articles from over 655 international music journals.

New Grove Online
This online music encyclopedia brings together The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musician, New Grove Jazz, and New Grove Opera. The author of each article is listed at the end of the article.

LANIC: Latin American Network Information Center
Based at the University of Texas at Austin, LANIC's mission is to facilitate access to Internet-based information to, from, or on Latin America. The target audience includes people living in Latin America, as well as those around the world who have an interest in this region.

Latin American Periodicals Tables of Contents (LAPTOC)
Housed on the LANIC site, LAPTOC is a searchable Web database that provides access to the tables of contents of more than 800 journals, primarily in the humanities and social sciences, published in Latin America. Articles indexed are primarily in Spanish & Portuguese. Do not use the ILL link in the records - use Mansfield ILL to request articles in journals we do not own.

LANIC Etext Collection
Designed to facilitate access to the full-text resources that are hosted on LANIC servers. Resources include research papers written by Latin American studies scholars; theses and dissertations; etext versions of books; conference proceedings; speeches by Latin American leaders; periodical publications; and official documents. Some of the etexts are in Spanish, others are in English. In all cases, copyright resides with the respective authors.

Red de Redes
Multiple Databases related to the development process in Latin America with information primarily in Spanish. Subjects include: Agriculture and biotechnology; banking and finance; social sciences, economy and state reform; education, children, and family.

For news coverage (in English) from Latin America, choose World News, then limit to North/South American news sources. For news in Spanish, choose non-English Language News.

Database for regional US newspapers, international newspapers, newswires, and newspaper columns. Includes some full text.
