Rooms in the Library

The library has a variety of individual and group rooms available for studying, meetings, or practicing presentations. Below are the available rooms and important information about each.

Individual Study Rooms

  • 4th Floor East
  • Each room seats 1
  • Internet access for laptop use
  • One study room has a typewriter
  • First come, first serve
  • Check out a key at the Circulation Desk
  • Loan period of three hours
  • Study room keys cannot be renewed
  • $1 per hour fine for keys returned late

Media Viewing Rooms

  • 1st Floor South
  • Each room seats 5-6 people
  • DVD, VHS, CD, LP & Cassette players
  • Keyboard is available in Room 134
  • First come, first serve
  • Check out a key at the Circulation Desk
  • Loan period of three hours
  • Media Viewing room keys cannot be renewed
  • $1 per hour fine for keys returned late

Group Study Rooms

  • 3rd Floor North & 4th Floor South
  • Each room seats 8 people
  • First come, first serve
  • No need to check out a key, the rooms are open

Group Study Room - Room 404

  • 4th Floor West
  • Seats 8 people
  • Reserve this room at the Info Desk, 570-662-4671
  • Room use limited to 3 hours.
  • Reservations can be made no more than 2 weeks in advance.
  • Available first come, first serve when not reserved
  • Must have your student ID to use the room
  • Room reservations expire 15 minutes after reservation start time.
  • Reserved rooms may be cancelled by the library without notice.

Seminar Room, Room 130

  • 1st Floor South
  • Seats 8 people
  • Laptop, large flat screen monitor, whiteboard
  • Reserve this room at the Info Desk, 570-662-4671
  • Room use limited to 3 hours.
  • Reservations can be made no more than 2 weeks in advance.
  • Available first come, first serve when not reserved
  • Must have your student ID to use the room
