Linking to E-reserves

You can place a link to your e-reserves in your BlackBoard course. Students both on and off campus will be able to access these readings without having to enter their library barcode/18-digit number. Here is how you you can place links into BlackBoard.

  1. Locate your e-reserve in PILOT. (If you need help using the e-reserve system, please see the Guide to Accessing E-reserves.) You want to be at the screen where there is a link that says "Click here for article."

  2. Right-click on the the link and select "Copy Shortcut".
  3. Log into your BlackBoard course as an instructor.

  4. In the Control Panel, in an area where you want the link, select the option to add an external link.

  5. Enter the name you want displayed, and paste the information you copied in step 2 into the URL textbox. The URL will look something like this: http://ereserves.mansfield.edu/ereserve.php?filename=burns_ed5531_05.pdf

  6. Submit your changes.

Now, your e-reserve will be linked in your course.
