Locating Song Translations in the North Hall Library
Use this guide to locate song translations in books and internet resources.
Sometimes the only translations readily available are in the booklets
of CDs or liner notes of LPs, so be sure to check PILOT for a recording
of your desired piece if you cannot locate it in any of these sources.

The Aria Database
The Aria Database is a diverse collection of information on over 1000 operatic arias. Designed for singers and non-singers alike, the Database includes translations and aria texts of most arias as well as a collection of MIDI files of operatic arias and ensembles.
Bach Translations
This Bach site offers English translations to the vocal works of J. S. Bach along with introductory information on the sources and on performance history of each work.

of translations to English, French and other languages.
Song Translations
Database
The University of Washington Song Translations Database indexes book resources
held in the Music Library that contain translations of songs by various
composers. Since this database indexes another library's collection, North
Hall will not have all the books listed in the database.
