Rooms in the Library

The library has a variety of individual and group rooms available to Mansfield University students, faculty, and staff for studying, meetings, or practicing presentations. Below are the available rooms and important information about each.

Individual Study Rooms

  • 4th Floor East
  • Each room seats 1
  • Internet access for laptop use
  • One study room has a typewriter
  • First come, first serve
  • Check out a key at the Circulation Desk
  • Loan period of three hours
  • Study room keys cannot be renewed
  • $1 per hour fine for keys returned late

Seminar Room, Room 130

  • 1st Floor South
  • In accordance with COVID-19 guidance, occupancy of this room has been limited to 2 persons.
  • Seats 10 people
  • Laptop, large flat screen monitor, whiteboard
  • NOTE: Laptop has a webcam
  • Reserve this room at the Info Desk, 570-662-4671
  • Room use limited to 3 hours.
  • Reservations can be made no more than 2 weeks in advance.
  • Available first come, first serve when not reserved
  • Must have your student ID to use the room
  • Room reservations expire 15 minutes after reservation start time.
  • Reserved rooms may be canceled by the library without notice.

Media Viewing Rooms: 131, 132, 133, 134

  • 1st Floor South
  • In accordance with COVID-19 guidance, occupancy of these rooms has been limited to 1 persons.
  • Each room seats 6 people
  • DVD, VHS, CD, LP & Cassette players (no VCR in 133)
  • TV and Laptop in 131, 132, 133
  • NOTE: Room 131 laptop has a webcam
  • Piano Keyboard and Mirror in 134

  • Room use limited to 3 hours.

  • 4th Floor West
  • Contains microfilm, fiche, and microcard readers.
  • Visit the Stacks Desk on 1st Floor North, or the Information Desk for access.

  • Available to any student, employee, or guest on campus in need of space for breastfeeding or pumping.
  • Key is available at the main circulation desk.

Library Classroom, Room 429

  • 4th Floor North
  • In accordance with COVID-19 guidance, occupancy of this room has been limited to 7 persons.
  • Seats 25 people
  • Whiteboard, projector, computer

Reservations can be made up to 2 weeks in advance. Reservations expire 15 minutes after the reservation time if you have not checked in. All reservations end no later than 30 minutes prior to the closing of the library.
